About Us

History Defines Us

In 1996, Carborundum Corp. Boron Nitride, a then leading producer of hexagonal Boron Nitride since 1954, was acquired by Saint-Gobain, one of the world's largest industrial companies. Now known as Saint-Gobain Boron Nitride, the facility operates under the High Performance Materials sector of Saint-Gobain, a world leader in advanced engineered materials.

Hexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN), an advanced synthetic ceramic, combines a number of useful physical and chemical properties in one material. Saint-Gobain's 60+ years of expertise in harnessing these properties and transforming hexagonal BN into sophisticated solutions to application-specific challenges is unsurpassed in the industry.
