Who We Are?

Saint-Gobain Boron Nitride

Carborundum Corporation, one of the first companies to commercially produce boron nitride products in 1954, was acquired by Saint-Gobain in 1996. Now a business unit within Saint-Gobain Ceramics, Saint-Gobain Boron Nitride remains a world leader in advanced hexagonal boron nitride solutions.

Hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), an advanced synthetic ceramic, combines a number of useful physical and chemical properties in one material. Saint-Gobain's 60+ years of expertise in harnessing these properties and transforming hexagonal BN into sophisticated solutions to application-specific challenges is unsurpassed in the industry.

Our state-of-the-art ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing process certified and ISO 14001 environmental management certified facility in Amherst, New York, USA, is dedicated solely to the production of hexagonal boron nitride materials for customers around the world.

Committed to providing a safe and healthy work place for its employees, and protecting the environment for the communities around it, the facility manufactures proprietary boron nitride products as powders, finished components and blanks, liquid coatings and solid diffusion sources.
