Introducing CeraGlide Azure Boron Nitride Coatings

Recently debuted at the 2023 Aluminum USA Trade Show in Nashville from October 25 to 26, Saint-Gobain Boron Nitride is proud to introduce a new line of pigmented boron nitride coatings, CeraGlide Azure. Serving as a protective, non-stick coating in that is easy to see on refractory substrates, CeraGlide Azure products are well suited for the aluminum casting industry.

The two CeraGlide Azure grades available today, SFA+ and 10SFA+, are based on the standard formulations SF+ and 10SF+, respectively. Both options benefit from our core active ingredients, high purity boron nitride with a premium alumina binder. The difference comes down to hue - SFA+ and 10SFA+ are a vibrant azure instead of bright white!

These engineered dispersions offer excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, allowing for longer lasting release and protection for launders, transfer tables, ladles and more. 10SFA+ is a ready-to-use formulation suitable for spray application, whereas SFA+ is a more concentration formula that can be diluted to the user's desired consistency. This allows companies purchasing the material to save on shipment costs and improve flexibility and customizability.
